Sappho Necklace

The Handmade Sappho Necklace is named after the Ancient Greek poet Sappho who inspired women during her time to pursue their talents in the creative arts (615BC). Each crystal bead is carefully chosen for the qualities she embodied: self care, female strength and resilience. 

The beads are - 

Sunstone: symbolising personal growth and the self-love that Sappho advocated for.

Black bead: represents the resilience and strength Sappho had in navigating a complex world. Black beads are also associated with personal transformation and inner wisdom, qualities Sappho used through her art. 

Labradorite: known for its ability to strengthen intuition, stimulate creativity and empower self-expression; mirroring the way Sappho’s voice challenged societal norms and inspired generations.

The combination of all three beads represents finding balance and protection that Sappho believed in. Wear the Sappho NECKLACE as a reminder of her legacy, and be inspired by the strength of a woman who defied the odds of her time.

The pendant sits on a simple 40cm gold plated chain with a stainless steel base. Available in two designs.
